Pres. Mike Slaughter - U.S. Playing Card was founded in 1867 and today is headed by a man who grew up across the street from the company’s facilities in Norwood. The operation has since moved to Erlanger, but they still make everything here in the Tristate. Michael Slaughter tells us about the famous incident he saw in Las Vegas, the history of playing cards, as well as the company’s, why there are so many different kinds of playing cards, and the origin of the famous Iraq War Most-Wanted deck.

He was also commissioner of that league for a while. Jim also tells us why the Tristate became so special to him, why he left Cincinnati, only to return, and about moving Gary Burbank’s pillow.

Then he opened his own bars. In 2009, he started AGAR, an agency that helps create “experiences” around brands. He also helped develop Luminosity and Blink.
